Description
Want to use 3 Legged Thing Ultra Plates with a long lens? Then you need a Thingy.
-
- Thingy is an Ultra Plate accessory that joins to the base of your camera on one side and to the Ultra Plate on the other to create a stable platform
- Designed to prevent twisting of lens on Ultra Plates when used with long lenses with tripod collars.
- Formed from aerospace-grade magnesium alloy (the stuff they make rockets and planes from).
- Available in a bundle with 150 or 200mm Ultra Plates, or on its own.
To use Ultra Plates as a mount for long lenses, 3 Legged Thing has created the Thingy. Made from aerospace-grade magnesium alloy, the Thingy attaches to the Ultra Plate, and then fixes to the base of your camera. This creates a secure and stable platform for both lens and camera to attach to your tripod, and prevents any unwanted twisting. Thingy can be positioned to support a variety of lens and camera combinations, where the lens has a lens foot.
Thingy Key Features:
-
- Sturdy aerospace-grade magnesium alloy construction
- Supplied with ¼”-20 Stainless Steel camera screw
- Attaches to the Ultra Plate’s cable management hook, which can be used with the Thingy in place
- Creates a stable platform for camera and long lens combos to attach to a tripod
- Knurled knob for easy adjustment of Thingy position
- Fully adjustable for optimum setup with almost any camera and lens combination
- Available as an add-on to the Ultra Plates, or in a bundle with 150mm or 200mm Ultra Plates .
