The new VARI series carbon fiber tripods can quickly convert from a traditional carbon fiber center column set-up, a flat base for low angle work and lighter package, to a video bowl base for quick horizon adjustment. In matter of seconds, you can convert your tripod for 1 of 3 specific needs by using the simple tool-free release mechanism.
The newly designed 25mm diagonal cross-pattern carbon fiber tubes and precision milled aluminum body provides a lightweight system with maximum strength and durability. Weighting in as little as 2.8 lbs (1.1kg) (at flat base mode) while supporting 17.6 lbs( 8kg).
The VARIO CF-704 utilizes a Rapid Column Exchange System. The Rapid Column Exchange System is a simple tool-free release mechanism that lets you switch between 3 different center column options.

Additional features include a bubble level on the main collar to quickly set your horizon, an accessory port for extension arms that hold monitors, tablets, or other photographic accessories, and the newly designed “semi-ratchet” leg-angle lock mechanism that allows you to quickly and easily set your leg angles to one of 3 stable positions.
